How do you calculate concrete quantity?
Concrete quantity is calculated from the physical dimensions of the project. For a rectangular slab, multiply length, width and thickness. For a round shape, use the radius and height. The result is then converted to cubic metres.
How much extra concrete should I allow?
An allowance can help cover small depth variations, site waste and irregular ground or formwork. The calculator lets you choose 0%, 5%, 10% or 15% depending on the level of uncertainty.
Which unit is used to order concrete in Québec?
In Québec, concrete is generally ordered by the cubic metre. You can enter measurements in metric or imperial units; the calculator converts the result to m³ to simplify the quote request.
